Our Behavior Consultants can help with a wide range of concerns including reducing anxiety, improving independence in daily living skills, improving communication skills and self-advocacy, sensory processing, coping skills, reducing self injurious behavior, verbal and physical aggression and so much more. Your Behavior Consultant will work with you to develop a plan that meets your unique needs and goals. Together you will practice new skills and work on the goals you identify to be most important.
The frequency of sessions will depend on your individual needs and waiver budget. Some clients may benefit from weekly sessions, while others may be every other week. Your total waiver budget is shared with the other services you choose and that will determine the total time you have with your Behavior Consultant. Typically, individuals may receive approximately 6 - 10 hours per month.
The environment and time of sessions will depend on when/where the targeted behaviors occur and when/where the goals can be worked on. Sometimes, that will be at home, but it can also be at school, at work, at a day program, or in the community. Behavior Consultants are able to work in all environments that behaviors occur.
Bingham Consulting is excited to offer social group activities most Fridays. For individuals who have goals that involve community access and safety, communication, advocacy, social skills, money management and many other goals can participate. This does not replace one-on-one services, but depending on the total amount of hours available, it could reduce them somewhat.
Bingham Consulting is a Medicaid waiver approved company. Behavior Management is one of the many options consumers and their parents/guardians can choose to use the waiver for. If one does not yet have the waiver, private pay is also an option.
You are the leader of your plan! You choose your services, and you can change course at any time.
There are a few options to get started.
