Brittany fell in love with the behavior field in high school when she entered into the peer tutoring program working with a broad range of abilities. She played softball for Grace College in Warsaw, Indiana and graduated with a degree in counseling in three years. During college, Brittany began working in ABA as a registered behavior technician. She fell in love with the line of work and being able to work alongside clients to help improve their quality of life.
Brittany returned to school and completed her Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in Autism in 2018. Due to having her son 3 months before graduation, she stayed as an RBT until September of 2020. She began working as a behavior consultant in 2022 after staying home with her two kids for a year after her youngest was born. Brittany enjoys working with all ages and all abilities. Every case is different, and that is what makes this job amazing. It challenges you to constantly learn, adapt, and form relationships to provide the best possible care. Recently she has focused on trauma informed care, as many individuals she has worked with have early childhood trauma. It is very important to her that consults never feel like work. Regardless of the age of the client, she prefers natural environment teaching, play based learning, and fun ways to integrate the “work”. We all have enough work, challenges, and to do lists, and while there is work to be done, she strives to incorporate this in a way that works best for each individual.
Brittany is married with two children, a four year old boy and a two year old girl, who are always on the move. Her husband is a firefighter which allows for a flexible family schedule. They also have two large dogs, a great dane (Zeus) and a husky (Tiko), as well as a cat (Seymour) . Outside is where they spend most of their time, riding bikes, exploring new playgrounds, anything with room to move and play. Brittany enjoys playing fast pitch softball during the summer, spending time with family and neighbors, and listening to true crime.
